“Working with Catherine Rushforth has been inspiring!
She has made me realise the importance and value of an external coach. Even though I coach and supervise others, I cannot always coach myself. It has been really impactful having her ask the difficult questions I can’t or won’t ask myself. Having Catherine ask these questions and playing back my words and meaning has been eye opening, I have a deeper understanding of myself and where I want to go, both personally and professionally.
The sessions were well paced and pitched ; always in a safe and relaxed environment that I chose. I would recommend Catherine to anyone that wants to focus attention on their goals or feels stuck. She’s helped me get back on track again.
Thanks Catherine. It’s been a wonderful experience and pleasure working with you.”
“Catherine helped me during a particularly difficult period of bereavement where I lost my father and one of my most cherished and valued mentors within the space of a few months. She guided me on how to come to terms with their loss- by celebrating their lives, and showing me how to incorporate their qualities into my own life and “positive self-images. This was really helpful, as I could “own” the traits of these people I deeply love. She also helped address the trauma around my relationship to my dad, and come to terms with the complex dynamic of regret, sense of betrayal, yet a deep love and appreciation of the joy with which he lived his life.
Thank you Catherine!”
The clear message in my “Building Elva” mantra reminds me to look after myself in a purposeful way
In addition to this she worked with me and my husband together which served to bring things to light and clarify expectations together which was very useful.
Catherine has been totally reliable and professional throughout, kindly and loving in her support and contribution and a thoroughly welcome addition to my supportive team. I am confident that the relocation of my family and business to York will be a fabulous success and that my health will continue to build. Your help has been key to this confidence ; I can’t thank you enough Catherine !”
“When I first met Catherine, she is probably the best listener I had ever met. I was dealing with a variety of life issues at the time and the opportunity to mentally and emotionally digest what I was facing, one to one, was a pure tonic in itself. Time heals and time certainly let’s you find your own answers. And it is always good to consider what your options are BEFORE rushing into your next action.
Throughout our sessions, I felt supported, encouraged and reminded that maybe my way is not the only way. I highly recommend anyone Entering the Golden Room in these difficult days we all live in. You may be surprised in the gold you find!”
With the stress associated with transitioning to a new country into a fast paced life and work environment including the challenges that arise when you are taking on a big life shift ; Catherine has provided me with all the resources, tactics and application guidance to market myself and pursue undeniably successful strategies in all areas of my life.
Working with Catherine has provided me with an irrevocable amount of opportunity, exposure, and increased knowledge on how to “Be” and to situate myself in career and life, to which I truly aspire.”
“I needed some help shifting my perspective to help me out of some challenging situations. I met Catherine at some workshops and was impressed by her positivity, insight and calmness. I could feel that she would help even though I wasn’t 100% clear about what I needed help with.
I had three areas to work on, and Catherine’s subtle way of listening, talking and working surprised me. I was working through things without knowing it – it crept up on me. I started some new habits and things that improved my situation over the months I worked with her. I saw some direct improvement.
One of the magic things Catherine got me to do was a little activity of dissolving a washing cube in water while thinking about the problem. It was transformative! I got the issue out of my head by ‘dissolving’ it. It was surprising how well it worked to help me stop thinking about the issue repeatedly which was hurting my head.”
